National Leadership Team Meeting Summary
Seven men attended the C&MA Men’s Ministry National Leadership Team meeting
on Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Clarion Atlanta Airport Hotel. The team took the
following actions:
- Endorsed the GO Strategy for facilitating men’s ministry in our districts over the next five years.
- Laid plans for General Council
- Addressed ways to improve communications with our districts
- Discussed ways to improve funding the ministry
- Reviewed Catalyst, a booklet on leading small groups and recommended that it be provided to the men attending the men’s luncheon at General Council.
- Appointed two men to serve on the search committee for national director.
National Leadership Forum Summary
Fourteen men from nine districts met February 6-8, 2009 at the Clarion Atlanta
Airport Hotel. The forum took the following actions:
- Endorsed extending the national directors term of office to March 31, 2010.
- Endorsed a bylaw establishing the process for recommending national director candidates to Church Ministries.
- Heard presentations on discipling men in the 21st century, disciplemaking in the Southern District, the C&MA Men’s addendum to Blueprint, the Coaching Handbook, and doing everything to the glory of God.
