ILet's reach our community with a resurrection breakfast. A resurrection breakfast is an evangelistic outreach event for men. It can be a church, community, citywide or regional event. A team of four men can easily handle the arrangements and make this happen.

Resurrection Breakfasts

An Outreach Event.  The Resurrection Breakfast is an evangelistic outreach for men.  It is intended to be a church, area or citywide evangelistic event. A team of four men can easily handle the arrangements and make this happen.

Success Stories.  God is doing great things with this event. In Minneapolis, Minnesota, the city is mobilized for a Resurrection Breakfast. The vision was brought to a citywide committee. The committee took the ball with excitement and began to run with the vision. Attendance at the first breakfast was less than 200 and within ten years had grown to more than 8,000  men with over 900 first-time decisions. Praise God! In Vineland, New Jersey, with citywide churches involved from across denominations, more than 800 attended with 75 decisions for Christ. Each year nearly 25,000 men across the nation attended Resurrection Breakfasts and about ten percent of the men men make decisions.

Catch the Vision.  There is a cross-denominational team of men that is praying that there would be a Resurrection Breakfast in every major city in America with over one million men in attendance and 100,000 decisions for Christ each year. The Church of God and the Pentecostal Holiness Church have put on Resurrection Breakfasts with the Church of God passing the Alliance in their attendance.  The questions that we need to ask ourselves is, “Does our local men's ministry have an outreach event?”  If not, is this the event that you should begin to implement? Single churches have conducted Resurrection Breakfasts. One church made the Resurrection Breakfast their primary focus and over the yera raised money in order to make the breakfast free. We need to think in bigger terms and organize these events on a city-wide or regional basis.

Three Key Steps in Planning a Resurrection Breakfast

1.    Start early. 18-24 months is not too soon.

2.    Bring in men from other Alliance churches or denominations early in the process to broaden support and establish ownership.

3.    Select a speaker with whom the men can identify, either by name, occupation, or position.
