C&MA Men’s Ministry is Committed to Building Healthy Churches.

Our focus is on building healthy men’s ministries that produce disciples who serve the Lord in their families, work, churches, communities and the world. To this end, we conduct men’s ministry leadership development seminars called Blueprint: A Strategy for Ministering to Men to assist churches in ministering to their men.

Why Does My Church Need a Men’s Ministry?

To reduce the burden on the pastor. A successful men’s ministry produces men who respond to God’s call on their lives. The purpose of men’s ministry is to reduce the burden on the pastor/pastoral staff. It is not an organization that consumes resources. It is a disciplemaking process. Men’s ministry must support the pastor and the church’s leadership team. At the same time, pastoral support and participation are essential if the ministry is going to endure, and be an asset to the church.

To meet men’s needs. Many pastors know that their men need more and hunger for more in the way of a gender-specific, issue-oriented ministry. Pastors are aware that their churches could be stronger and more vibrant if the men in their congregations were fully engaged. Still, few pastors have the time to develop a systematic plan for ministering to men in a way that addresses their spiritual and emotional needs. To meet these needs requires tested and proven plan.

To meet the needs of the C&MA. Pastors want their men to not only support the local ministry, but to underwrite the needs of the Alliance at the district and national levels. Men’s ministry encourages men in the disciplines of Christian living. This include the investment of time, talent and treasure in the areas of home missions, the Great Commission Fund, and other needs that may arise in advancing Christ’s Kingdom at home and abroad.

What is Blueprint?

Developing Ministry Leaders. While there are many good models for building a healthy and effective men’s ministry, we have selected the Blueprint model for equipping men’s ministry leaders. It is a comprehensive four-hour seminar that addresses the need for a men’s ministry, the foundation and framework for an effective ministry and ways to develop and build that ministry.

“A vibrant and vital ministry to men will be founded on biblical truth... and guided by a well-defined vision and clear goals. In the process the men in your congregation will be equipped to be effective, godly leaders in their homes, the church, and the community: and will proactively apply their spiritual gifts to influence the world.” Steve Sonderman    Founder: Top Gun Ministries

Road Map. The Blueprint seminar provides a road map for building a vigorous and effective men’s ministry in your church. It equips a leadership team and then releases them to lead the ministry. Disclaimer: We cannot and will not tell you how to do men’s ministry in your church! We will, however, guide you through the framework. Only you know how to develop a structure that meets the needs of your men. The purpose of the seminar is to facilitate the planning and development of your men’s ministry.

The Blueprint Seminar includes discussions on the following:
  • How to honestly assess the condition of your present ministry.
  • Discovering the needs of men.
  • A strategy for an effective ministry to men.
  • The scriptural focus for growing Godly men.
  • Developing balanced goals for your ministry.
  • Building the ministry team.
  • Understanding who men are.
  • Diagnosing a man’s commitment level.
  • Creating entry strategies.
